Chocolatey enough? I think so! When it comes to chocolate muffins you can’t have enough chocolate, these {Dr Oetker} Easy Double Chocolate Muffins by Dr Oetker promise all that and more. Chocolate muffins just got a makeover.

A soft cocoa infused cake is studded with creamy white chocolate chips which provides a soft cushion for a yummy, thick milk chocolate topping and a generous dousing of, yes you’ve guessed it, chocolate sprinkles. Children and grown ups alike will have fun with these muffins. If its a rainy weekend this would be such a fun activity and seeing as one batch yields 12, they would be a great addition to a party table. Imagine their little eyes spying chocolate star topped cakes.

{Dr Oetker} Easy Double Chocolate Muffins

  • 200 grams Plain flour
  • 25 grams Dr Oetker cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 115 grams Light brown muscovado sugar
  • 100 grasm Dr Oetker white chocolate chips
  • 115 grams Unsalted butter melted
  • 150 ml Milk


  • 1 pot Dr Oetker Milk Easy Choc pot
  • Dr Oetker chocolate sprinkles
  • Dr Oetker chocolate stars



  1. Pre-heat the oven to 170C and line a 12 cup muffin tin.

  2. In a large mixing bowl sift in the flour, cocoa powder and the baking powder. Stir in the sugar and chocolate chips.

  3. In a jug, whisk together the egg, melted butter and milk then gently pour into the dry mixture. Using a spatula, fold through everything together until the flour just disappear. 

  4. Spoon the batter evenly into the muffin cases and bake for 15-20 minutes until a cake tester inserted into the centre comes out clean. Leave on the rack for 10 minutes before transferinfg the muffins to the wire rack to cool completely. 


  1. Melt the Easy Choc Milk as directed on the packet and then spoon over the melted chocolate. Sprinkle over your chosen sprinkles then leave until set to enjoy.
