* What is everyone up to this weekend? I’ve made my Festive Fruit and Nut Mincemeat! I love micemeat and mince pies, I could eat them everyday all year long. I’ve tweaked the recipe every so slightly and will be posting it in the upcoming weeks.
* I also made some mince pies to enjoy my homemade micemeat in, I ate three fresh from the oven.
* My boyfriend and I will be moving into our house within the next few weeks, we both are so excited we can’t wait!
* There are so many festive ingredients this time of year and so many holiday themed recipes but only so many hours in the day. I know I have a hard time choosing what to bake, how does everyone else choose what to bake this time of year?
Here are some recipe that have caught my eye this week.
~ Apple Spice Coffee Cake from White On Rice Couple – I love the amount of spices that is in the cake, especially the cloves. I love this spice and paired with apples I can imagine it tastes and smell’s heavenly.
~ Pumpkin Bundt Cake with Chocolate Glaze from Buttercream Blondie – I still haven’t had pumpkin and chocolate together yet, this bundt makes me want to try it right away.
~ Maple-Gingerbread Layer Cake with Salted Maple Caramel Sauce from Joanne Eats Well – I love love love anything gingerbread-y and combined with maple sounds amazing.
